Bittersweet Opening Day

I’m always glad when baseball starts up again.  I look forward to it for weeks.  I’ll watch anyone play on opening day.  Sadly that can no longer include my Expos, obviously.  Since their departure to Washington I’ve found Opening Day to be bittersweet.  It’s kind of funny considering that for so many years I couldn’t see them on TV anyways, due to their lousy TV contract.

I usually enjoy the Jays opening day game instead, but this year I was denied that by Rogers Sportsnet.  Apparently I didn’t upgrade my cable package enough, and therefore missed the first two baseball games of the season.  Looks like I’ll have to shell out some coin.
